Paris ferris wheel at night
Alright, this is pretty weird if you do work quite some time on a shot just to figure out this damn ferris wheel is actually… not standing where it is supposed to be! I ain’t no Paris expert (flame me now!), but apparently they build a portable wheel based on “La Grande Roue” (build for the Exposition Universelle world exhibition of 1900, but demolished in 1920) and the 2000 Millenium celebrations – “Roue de Paris” (quite creative, ha?), which appeared on numerous locations ever since…. And apparently also close to it’s “usual” place at the “Place de la Concorde”, right at the bottom of the Champs Elysees. However, I am quite sure it was a bit closer to the Louvre when I shot it – at the “Terrasse des Feullaints”…. I wonder how much of that history lesson is actually correct, but one thing is for sure: it is much easier in the Viennesse Prater to figure that one out there!
